SEASON’S GREETINGS FROM THE CRD FOUNDER

As we reflect on the remarkable year that is 2024, I’m filled with immense gratitude for the support you've shown to Community Reciprocity Development. We’ve made significant strides toward empowering our communities and supporting justice-impacted individuals in creating the futures they deserve.

Recently, while I taught a class at Mary’s Village, a transitional living program for unhoused men in San Bernardino, a young man named Kevin Trejo, who has battled addiction and experienced incarceration, told our team that the program we’re teaching has helped him identify ways to improve his life.

“I always dig myself out of a hole and once I reach the surface, I look around and ask myself ‘what do I do now?’,” Kevin said. “But this is a good program…I’ve figured out things I didn’t know about myself.”

Kevin’s testimonial makes me feel proud because it’s proof that our work at CRD is serving its purpose!

Thanks to grant funding from the Breaking Barriers to Employment Initiative, Community Reciprocity Development’s programs have emphasized and fostered community success through education, training, mentorship, apprenticeships, and mental well-being. And as you know, when we empower individuals, we create active, responsible, and successful citizens capable of making a meaningful difference in their communities.

On behalf of the entire team at Community Reciprocity Development, we want to thank you once again for your support, your belief in our mission, and your invaluable contribution to making 2024 a year of growth, empowerment, and transformation. We are excited about the future and look forward to working together to create even greater opportunities for those we serve in the coming year.

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and peaceful holiday season.

Very Respectfully,

Carolina Chavez-Gonzalez
