Breaking barriers to employment initiative
Empowering Lives and Strengthening the San Bernardino Community
Finding meaningful employment can be a daunting challenge for many, but for those facing systemic barriers—such as justice-impacted individuals—the task may seem nearly impossible. That’s where the Breaking Barriers to Employment Initiative steps in to help. Designed to expand opportunities and support a diverse workforce, this initiative aims to create significant, lasting change for individuals. Community Reciprocity Development was a fortunate recipient of the state grant.
What is the Breaking Barriers to Employment Initiative?
The Breaking Barriers to Employment Initiative is a comprehensive program focused on bridging employment gaps for underrepresented groups. Our focus is targeting the Inland Empire and, specifically, the San Bernardino community. Its mission is simple yet profound—to provide the tools, training, and resources necessary to unlock employment opportunities for those who have historically been overlooked.
By connecting individuals with job training, resume workshops, reentry programs, and local employers, this initiative helps participants not only find jobs but also build long-term, meaningful careers.
